Through ssh -X I am able to sit in front of a linux machine, execute remotely xeyes on my MacOSX machine and display them on my linux machine. This is fine, but what I would like is to get Crystalmaker, IgorCarbon or some other MacOSX applications served towards the linux box.

I have no succes for the moment. Is there an inherent problem?

    Thanks

I answer to myself (hoping it is useful for somebody): yes, there is a problem, if the apps are not wodrking on X11 but on "Core Graphics Tools which are Apple-only". Basiliask is also no option in my case, because only too old versions of the programs of my interest would work.

      Ideas, anybody?

      Thanks :)

      Ideas?!

I believe there is a VNC server for older version of mac OS.  If you can either find a newer one for macosx or perhaps port it....

There are VNC versions for Mac OS X, but they may be out of date. Search eg Versiontracker for VNC.
