Cmd-Q doesn't quit XDarwin. Have to go to the menu for exits ...

    Keyboard shortcuts only work while the cursor is in the menubar.

    This is also true of any keyboard input that is not meant
    for actual X11 windows (for example, the Preferences window
    - you have to place the cursor in the menubar before you can
    type something into the text box for the keyboard map file).
