I'm using XDarwin(ver. 4.1.99.2) in rootless mode with
multi-monitors. But I have a problem with "xwd" command.
The dump image on the first monitor is OK. But the image
on the other monitor is not OK.
The image from the second monitor looks like a garbage
and it just looks like the image when the refresh rate
is not set correctly. I attached the dump image file
from the second monitor.
This may be a bug.

I've duplicated this on my machine, and it's definitely an XDarwin bug. I think it's the same underlying problem as #488868, and the fix should be straightforward. Interestingly, if you dump a window that crosses the screen boundary, the part of the window on the main screen is OK and the rest is garbage.

This should be fixed by patch #490827 "Multi-screen GetImage fix". I'll try to build a binary for you to test soon.

I've posted a new XDarwin.app at http://www.sealiesoftware.com/xdarwin-getimage.dmg.gz . Move your existing XDarwin.app out of the way and drop this one in its place. Let me know whether it fixes the problem or not.

    Dear Greg-san,
Thank you very much for your help.
I have applied your patch and rebuilt "xc" and installed
again. The "xwd" command works on the second monitor,
    correctly.
And later, I have installed new XDarwin.app but it didn't
    run. I'm not sure why.

It's possible that I built the binary wrong. If the source patch works for you, it doesn't matter.

This has been fixed in CVS with Greg's PseudoramiX patch.

XDarwin 1.0.6 includes this fix. Please make sure this
version also works as it includes the final code (with some
small modifications) that will be part of XFree86 4.2.
