I noticed that text highlighted in a Linux terminal cannot be pasted into the Find/Replace dialog boxes in xnedit using the middle mouse button.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Launch xnedit from a Linux terminal.
2) In the terminal window, double-click a word to select it.
3) In the xnedit window, press Ctrl+r, place the cursor in either dialog box, and click the middle mouse button — nothing gets pasted.

However, the same selected text can be pasted into xnedit’s main text window with the middle mouse button.

Which desktop environment and terminal emulator are you using?

The terminal emulator is the default in Fedora 43 Gnome, Ptyxis.

It should work now. I think it only affected Gnome Wayland or other Wayland based desktops.
