I guess I didn't express myself clearly as I should have... I didn't acctually 
do the clean up. I just though I should mention it in case anyone feels like 
doing it :).

It is part of the pre-condition checks in most StringHelper methods. I didn't 
bother to look up who wrote it. I guess it was me anyways.
