XMMS 1.2.11 crashes upon xmms-kde trying to sync up to it. When xmms-kde is not running on the taskbar, XMMS opens and runs normally. As soon as xmms-kde is added to the taskbar, and attempts to access XMMS, XMMS results in a segmentation fault and closes. xmms-kde stays running in the task bar. XMMS will not re-open upon double-clicking on xmms-kde, crashing every time. Message produced at console while xmms-kde is running:

jb@SUSEnix:~> xmms
Message: device: default

Segmentation fault

You've probably found a bug in XMMS, please visit

More than likely a result of a changed method call (or something similar) that is causing this problem.

Using SUSE 10.2, and PM managed packages for XMMS 1.2.11. I am using the latest available sources and devel packages for both xmms and xmms-kde, xmms-kde being compiled from source tarball, although I might not have the absolute latest QT/KDE3 packages installed. Whatever SUSE 10.2 has as default.
