Well, That is another issue for me is connecting to the internet from the cradle, so I'm waiting for my lan card to come in. So, could someone tell my exactly what files I need to get XMMS to work? Is there a howto somewhere? I tried to install the qtopia player, and it installed, but appears that there needs to be some kind of plugin for it to play MP3's. I installed the xmms-e_0.00005-1_arm.ipk file and installed it and it seems to SEGFAULT on my. I keep thinking that there are missing packages here, but there is not indication of this. If there is a howto somewhere, that would be great. Im usually pretty quick on picking stuff up, but Im new to the Zaurus and not sure about the way OZ configures its self yet, to top it off.. Any additional help for a newbie Zaurus user would be greatfull :) BTW, Ive been using Linux for Years, so Im not a noob with the OS, just OZ and the Zaurus.. Thanks -- Joe Giles jg...@jo... Hi! The packages you need is at the bottom. If xmms segfaults it would be better if you sent the output of xmms here. (xmms > xlog1 2> xlog2 - and send xlog1 and xlog2). However it should not segfault, definietly works for me. Regarding the network have a look at www.zauruszone.com/howtos or www.zaurus.com, or www.openzaurus.org . Also the mailing lists and their archives could help a lot (openzaurus-users, zaurus-general). Denes ------------------------------------------------------------------------ fyi what you will need for a working xmms (from oz testing feed): libvorbisidec libmad xmms-e (no skin package needed) if you want to play movies you need: mplayer libogg libsdl xmms-e-mplayerplugin if you want to play mods(.it, xm,s3m, others): libmikmod 3.1.99 xmms-e-mikmodplugin if you want to play sid: libsidplay xmms-e-sidplugin for shorten: xmms-e-shortenplugin I hope I didn't leave out something. Well, I think I got it. Thanks for all your help. There was one dependancy that I was not sure about and could not install anyway, and that was gpe-base. I didnt install it, and it seems to work ok, however, am I missing out on some functionality here? Thanks -- Joe Giles jg...@jo...
