xmms-e and mplayer will be back, work is underway.
Unfortunatelly I am busy with studying.
Meanwhile opie-mediaplayer2 is a viable alternative.

ps: in the old dir of the unstable/stable dir (iirc) there is the old
xmms package, but I don't know if that works or not.
