hm, it has always worked for me sofar, I have no idea what the problem co=

If the gui didn't come up, that must have been because of a missing libra=
ry -=20
in that case output to stdout and stderr could have shed some light on th=
e=20
matter.

it must be missing some libraries for some reason.
But indeed, nobody is using mp3 nowadays anymore, when there is ogg :)
