Set it to this value. The font path error went away, but I was then
rewarded with a SIGSEGV crash:

It looks to me as if you are perhaps linking in some old library
or at least path code? There were some subsequent postings suggesting
that Opie apps should not be looking in /usr/local/qt-embedded/lib in
the first place...

So then I stopped Opie, removed the package as well as the various
files ~/.xmms, ~/.mplayer, .xmms.m3u - I assume that this was what
you were were referring to by cleaning up.

So I then setup a ipkg.conf pointing to:
    http://www.openzaurus.org/official/unstable/feed

Which contains references to the 0005-2 version...

Whoops, failed. The ipkg update works OK, I was able to install the
ogg and mad plugin packages, but the xmms-e install failed with:

  ERROR: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for xmms-e:
         qt-embedded-rotation libopie11

Earlier this week there was some major (IMHO) restructuring of the Opie
package hierarchy e.g. I see in my pkg lists that qt-embedded-rotation
has now been replaces by libqt2-emb-fonts:

I Cc'ed Oliver Fels, if it is a packaging problem, he might have more
