For all my DVD collections, I also prefer to give 'numbers' so that it will be easy to pick from a shelf rather than reading the names.

Currently as you suggested, I put in additional info>file count> value for each record and created a MS database.

It would be nice if the movies are sorted based on numbers also (with numers displayed next to the movie name on the list in the window).
