The process how to properly submit a patch is described on the XMLVM site at http://xmlvm.org/contribute/ . Basically we use a code review portal at http://xmlvm-reviews.appspot.com/ to accept and review patches. And indeed - I also prefer to have the patches submitted there instead of being posted to the list.
