Hi all

I've started to write down a few things about the current API - more as
a rationale for why things are like they are:

The more important part to me are the "discussion" sections where I
listed all the things that I know aren't done, yet, feel wrong or seem
incomplete.

Please feel free to jump in and add additional discussion point, refine
what I've written (but don't make it a user documentation, that's not
the right place for that) or just tell me where I'm wrong.

If you want to discuss things on this list, this is more than just fine,
please do.
