I tried one of the examples in the UG but I can't get it to work in DOS. I've tried \quoting and everytype of quote I could think of...

    echo "<x/>" | xml sel -t -v "math:abs(-1000)"

    gives me:

    C:\Writing\WBTWebOpus>echo "<x/>" | xml sel -t -v "math:abs(-1000)"
-:1: parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found
    "<x/>"
    ^

is this possible using a DOS command prompt ?

    • This is the only thing I could come up with.

      echo ^<x/^> > ff

      cat ff | xml sel -t -v "math:abs(-1000)"

      --MG
