A very promising tool!

    Dear XMLStarlet developers,

I have been searching for XML tools that would permit sophisticated command-line searching and manipulation of XML files, without having to write XSTL scripts each time. So far (I have just begun to use it), XMLStarlet looks like the most promising. My job will be to edit large collections of XML files with complicated tagging for publication, and good search-and-report tools are crucial to that job. So your work on the program is very much appreciated!

I was very happy to find this tool.  I need to automate a number of tests on a variety of xml output and this tool is extremely promising.  My only (small) disappointment so far is that it does not (yet) do diffs.  Of course this can be strung togther with c14n and standard diff but it would have been nice to do in a single step.  Still great.
