I had to change xmlroff.spec to add this line:

%{_datadir}/xml/libfo-*/

to the %files section, to prevent the package build failing with an
'unpackaged files' error.

I've added that change and the other change you posted.  I will check
them in later today.

You know my opinion of RPM spec files.  Can you post a contextual diff
the next time you need to fix something?

Does the current incantation manage to install libfo-compat.xsl, etc.?

Yes, the spec file is fine now.

But now xmlroff immediately segfaults. :-/

I have seen this recently, but none of the xmlroff testsuite files
fail this way, so I can't reproduce it.  Can you provide yet another
FO file?

Oddly enough, I can't get this to happen now.  I'm afraid I didn't
make a note of which FO file triggered it. :-(
