A way to describe experience that is not affiliated with a
particular employer (e.g., research projects) and/or
"professional development" (as mentioned in request id
927027) would be nice for people seeking entry-level
positions where any related experience can help.

Perhaps Reserach should be its own category too (to
describe ongoing research and/or unpublished efforts).
