Hi,
While I'm aware this is not common practice (and may be
even illegal) in the US, in many places it is customary
to attach a photograph of yourself to the resume.
I think adding a <photo src="photo.jpg"/> tag to
xmlresume wouldn't be too hard, and would really help
those who need it. People who don't want to put the
photo could just ignore it without any problem.
Of course, the image wouldn't be displayed in text output.
Thanks,

I do not believe it is illegal here in the United States to attach a
photo to the resume. It may be inappropriate in certain cases,
though. In some cases, it may have the beneficial effect of
making your resume stand out and giving the person looking at
your resume some instant familiarity with you.
However, say, for a modelling job, attaching a photo to the
resume (besides submitting a portfolio, of course) may be a good
thing.
Also, when applying for a job as someone's body double
(perhaps a common job in some countries :-), a photo of your
face on the resume would be essential.
In the PDF and Word DOC formats, the output should embed the
image in the document itself so that it can be shared as one file.
In the HTML version, it could be a link. In the plain text version, it
should optionally show (or not show) a URL link to the image.
