Some resumes (especially of people changing
industries or moving far geographically) have a sentence
or two describing the companies they worked for.

For example, in the media/publishing industry, people
know that Knight Ridder is a large company with 30+
newspapers across the country, but people in other
industries, even those who read KR newspapers may
not know about the Knight Ridder company.

Describing the employer can make a world of difference:
