Many employers still read printouts of resumes on paper, even
when they are sitting next to a computer.

Besides having an option of making the hyperlinks print as
footnotes in the Word DOC and PDF formats, another option
should be to display them in paranthesis after the words. This
option should be avialable in the plain text output as well.

E.g. ... Created the open source product, Cofax (www.cofax.org)
while ...

Having URLs adds credibility to the items and may interest the
person reading the resume to visit those links when online. All
that will keep the person's resume on the employer's mind.
