Acme University Medical Center, Shelbyville, Montana
--Instrumental in setting up Acme Invention Research Lab between March and October of 2003 including:
>Assembly and debugging of the lab's barostat system
>Installation and testing of the lab's Neuroscan
>Extracting the respiratory signal from an ECG unit
--Coordinated the daily operation of the GI Investigations Lab at St. Joseph's Hospital including:
>scheduling of voluteers
>training of nurses in the use of HODS software
>documenting and summarizing results
>writing lab manuals and instruction pamphlets
--Designed, wrote, debugged, and maintained ANSView 3.0 a standalone program in C++ that allowed other researchers to:
>quickly browse through the recorded data
>identify intervals of interest
>generate statistics for those intervals
>export data and statistics to Excel
--Worked extensively with the research physicians in the lab to derive objective measurements of discomfort and pain based on the ANS recordings.
