changing the:
<xsl:param name="subjects.format">comma</xsl:param>
to:
<xsl:param name="subjects.format">table</xsl:param>
results in overlapping text in the pdf output (using
the recommended xalan, xerces, fop toolchain). It
also has a lot of extra spaces in the text output.
