XMLPipeDB Utilities 2.3 Released

XMLPipeDB Utilities 2.3 has been released. This release of XMLPipeDB Utilities further streamlines and improves various user interface elements and behaviors in the library, such as:

- A consistent, properly threaded progress bar for imports and other lengthy operations

- More detailed instructions for advanced database configuration

- Continuing externalization of strings

As a result of these improvements, XMLPipeDB Utilities now also requires Java 1.6 or higher.

XMLPipeDB Utilities 2.2 introduced the following major user interface changes:

- Elimination of the custom ImportPanel (a file dialog is recommended instead)

- Addition of custom database configuration panels for simpler setup

- Database connection checking and error reporting prior to starting long operations

Many of these user interface elements are made possible with the help of the Shag GUI Library (http://sourceforge.net/projects/shag-gui).
