Wasn't sure if I had commit rights, tried to do Sync with CVS in Eclipse and at the time it only wanted to let me go CVS -> local... I'll look at it again. I have to write a patch in to make the 'package prefix' optional... having no package prefix (leaving classes in the default package) seems to workout better in my experince... though I might just be using it wrong. The patches have not been merged with the CVS... I don't even think I can merge into the CVS. The build on SF has the patches already in it. When you submit a patch, can you please attach the patch, instead of pasting the patch in? Yup, but I suspect you'll want merge (CVS doesn't work at my work place) the patch for XMLCBuilder.java the CVS and then pack it up however you did for 0.0.4 for that... I'm guessing you have an Ant build target for that somewhere?? I can wait till that's done and repack that if you prefer... end result code should be the same I would guess. -Garth On Wed, 05 Feb 2003 08:11:47 -0500 David Corbin wrote: > OK. K, I'll repack my cvs build into a zip (with all the XMLC libs like /site has), call it 0.0.5 and stick it on the SF download page sometime tomorrow (er after I go to sleep and wake again today), if that sounds good to you. So I got distracted for a couple of days while I tried to figure out why I could build the CVS version on my Linux box... figured that out... and got in a patch to make the plugin run under 1.3.1 (replaceAll was the problem)... Eclipse on Linux on KDE 3.1, woohoo!! oops got carried away for a sec... there's a 1.3.1 patched version on the Wiki. So, back to the original topic... We gonna do a zip release or at least change it to say go use the Updater in the Download section on SF? Northern.CA ===-- http://www.northern.ca Canada's Search Engine |

At my work we have an MS Proxy that requires you used either NTLM or basic auth with a proxy account to surf the net. I use the proxy account for Netscape and for doing my Debian updates on Linux. Eclipse as of the last Snapshot I got (which was the 2.1 integration build from the first week of Jan) has no built-in support for using proxies or at least if it does support proxies it is not a configurable option in the Windows->Prefrences menus. So it means that Update Manager is not an option at work (I can work around it by get it at home and then zipping it up and sending it to work). There are a couple of plugins that try to address this proxy problem. One is parrot-something-or-other which works for browser windows and the other one is a bug ticket in the Eclipse project (I think it's called NetAccess or something like). I couldn't get either of them to work with Update Manager when I tried them. Northern.CA ===-- http://www.northern.ca Canada's Search Engine |
