I was recently involved in a car accident and am trying to understand what steps I should take before dealing with insurance companies. Thankfully, my injuries are not too serious, but I have some medical expenses and damage to my vehicle.

I’m also unsure whether I should handle the claim myself or speak with an attorney. If I decide to contact a local car accident attorney, what should I look for when choosing one? Does experience with similar cases make a significant difference?
