For example, just like in sabbatical planning, you focus on identifying what truly matters, cutting away low-value tasks, and structuring your schedule around deep work rather than endless busywork. This way, even within fewer hours, you’re hitting the most impactful goals without draining yourself.
Another useful approach is setting clear boundaries and creating theme days or time blocks. If certain hours are dedicated solely to creative work and others to administrative tasks, the mental load feels lighter and the workweek feels more balanced. Pairing that with regular check-ins on progress ensures the reduced hours don’t compromise productivity but instead make space for rest and better focus.
