    Hi,
It seems that currently XMLA connect doesn't support "Attribute Hierarchy", is that by design?

I have a cube without any explicit hierarchy, every level within a dimension has it's own Hierarchy and the HIERARCHY_ORIGIN is set to MD_SYSTEM_ENABLED (identifies attribute hierarchies, and has a value of 0x0000002). when trying to add a level to the pivot the XMLA client issues a discovery call about the Hierarchy instead of executing a query.

    Thanks,
    Efi

You can also see the difference visually in excel when using the XMLA connect (111.png) and when using MS Analysis Services driver (333.png)

We know somethng is not right there but since now we haven't had a test case. Can you connect us on the support mail listed here: http://www.arquery.com/Contact ? We want to work a correct solution on this topic.

Attribute hierarchies play a crucial role in enabling multidimensional analysis within XMLA (XML for Analysis) connections. These hierarchies organize attributes into a structured format, allowing users san antonio window tinting to drill down or roll up through data levels seamlessly. By leveraging attribute hierarchies, developers and analysts can query OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) cubes more effectively, extracting insights with greater precision.

Yes, this behavior is by design. XMLA doesn’t fully support Attribute Hierarchies and will issue a discovery call instead of executing a query when one is detected. If you're looking for Spotify Premium para PC, make sure you’re using the right tools for querying your data, as XMLA clients generally expect explicit hierarchies rather than attribute-based ones. To work around this, you could either redesign the cube with explicit hierarchies or use MDX queries, which offer better support for attribute hierarchies.

Support for attribute hierarchies in XMLA (XML for Analysis) connects is crucial for effectively querying and navigating multidimensional data, especially in systems like Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). An attribute hierarchy represents a set of attributes that can be used for drill-down or filtering within a cube Portable Microwave For Car, allowing users to analyze data along different dimensions.
