I am currently drafting a technical manual and I am concerned that my long sentences are becoming difficult for readers to follow. I know that punctuation marks and their uses and examples are crucial for creating logical pauses and directing the reader's attention to key information.
However, I often find myself overusing commas when I should be breaking sentences apart or using colons to introduce lists.
How do you ensure your technical writing remains precise and accessible without becoming too robotic or fragmented? I would appreciate any tips you have for balancing flow with grammatical accuracy.
Thanks in advance.
