We need to know the exact version of the BI suite you use. So far we have tested with 4.5 and 5.0. Looks like something we don't expect in the response from the BI suite.

Thanks, but Pentaho and MySQL are up and running.
I found a Pentaho error ticket saying that there is Mondrian bug about the discovery command, but it is fixed in 5.1. I will give it a try.

Hi,
thanks for the response first of all. I am working with 5.0.7.1 releases.

There is something wrong with your general systems and (most probably ) Mondrian cannot access the DB server.
On our systems we use MySQL as DB and are able to reproduce it by shutting down MySQL and then starting Pentaho.
By default, Pentaho comes with SteelWheels as a demonstration catalog. The pictures attached here show how this works in our case:
In the case you still heed help post here and we-ll try to find some good documentation for setting up Pentaho BI.

I confirm that this is a Mondrian bug, but it is corrected in the version 3.7, used in Pentaho 5.1. So, just upgrade 5.0.x to 5.1 and it will be fine.
The XMLA Connect works smoothly, nice job Arquery, thank you very much :-)
Thanks to all for the help.
