Referering to the already registered bug [ 648537 ] "getPCDATA() calls return extra breaks" I added the following observation as a note:
"By accident I observed the same error and found a different
behavior between a just well-formed and a valid xml-file.
e.g. the difference was the missing DOCTYPE-statement in the
first case. May be that helps, too."
That was pretty confusing, because we took off the declaration with some other changes in the system and I needed (too much ;-)) time to find out what is the real cause for that misbehaviour.
