Folks: The XML 1-Wire project's been updated so that we're in a posiion to do our first public release. In order to automate as much of the release possible, provide a framework for future contributions, and a system for documentation, I've created a module in the CVS server to house all this stuff. The module is simply called "tag". You should checkout this module as follows: cvs -d <user>@cvs.xml1-wire.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xml1-wire co tag where <user> is your user name on SourceForge. You can then build the system by going into the tag directory and typing "ant jar". Anyone can be a release engineer too by typing "ant release", although we should have a concensus before posting a release publically to SourceForge. Next, I'd like to start tackling the website to provide backlinks into software downloading, bug reporting, feature requesting, and so forth. The website, of course, will also go under CVS control so we can track revisions and all make updates. Bruce: is it OK if we pull the entire website onto SourceForge's server instead of Systronix's? We should also retire the CVS module "xml1-wire". Thanks, --Sean |
