Despite the looong lack of progress on this project, it hasn't died completely! Have been doing a fair amount of research and rethinking about the concept and I'm coming up with a more simplistic but hopefully also more effective approach. Keep watching!

XML-OLAP is an open-source project that aims to create a standard set of XML Schema for a client-server OLAP engine. By creating a standard language of OLAP communication and commands, OLAP developers can truly focus on the most pressing problems of storage and speed.

This project will also become a 'clearing house' for reference implementations of XML-OLAP in various languages/platforms. Any and all open-source OLAP projects currently underway are highly encouraged to participate.... read more
