When pressing CTRL+F, I am brought to the Search popup box. Some programs maintain a drop down list in the search text box of previous searches. Some also have an auto-complete, where if I type a search text that I have already searched for, it will complete it for me. EditPlus has similar functionality and it's very nice and convenient.

I agree. This is something I want to add to the find/replace pane (which is half done but so far invisible because it's not yet ready to go out).
The plan is to have standard panes below the document with:
Find: ______v Find |_| regex |_| match case
Find: ______v Replace _____v Find Replace Replace All |_| regex |_| match case
(The vs are the combo pulldown buttons.)
Of course I'd love the Find to be incremental, but I need to see how far I get for an initial release.
It won't be ready for 1.0.8.7 (which introduces split tabs for side-by-side editing), but it's quite high on my list.
