Hi, please help me! Sorry for my English, it's not my mother tongue. I got windows7 x32 and i downloaded the xml copy editor and it worked simply, no problem. But 2 weeks ago i had to do a system restor and after a week a tried to enter my xml editor and it says: xmlcopyeditor.exe stops the windows' looking for the problem and it will text you when it finds that. Funny thing that i tried a thousand times and once it worked and i thought it nrepaired but when i tried to open it again nothing. The same note from the windows. Please help me what can a do, because i have to do my homework with this program and i really afflicted. Thanks: Ette04

Hi ette04, it looks as if the program is looking for but failing to find a file on your disk. have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application?
The configuration is saved in a text file. The most complete fix will be to remove the configuration file (which contains the list of recently opened tabs etc.). Deleting it won't remove any valuable information.
It's very easy to find on XP, but the location has changed for Windows 7. I think you need to go to your home folder (e.g. by selecting your name at the top of the start menu) and find application settings from there. Unfortunately I don't have a Windows 7 computer available at the moment so can't check right now.
Do let me know if this proves difficult to resolve. I've got a 32-bit Win 7 box at home so I can check later tonight.

One thing that might work is renaming (or moving to a temporary location) the files you had open last time. (The program will then merely fail to reopen the documents.)
I wonder if it's something else though – if this isn't down to XMLCE trying to reopen a file, it's possible that rebuilding the computer removed certain libraries on which XMLCE depends. (It shouldn't do as all DLLs ship with the application, but you never know.)
Could you write down the exact wording of the error message you get and also how it's shown (e.g. within XMLCE, in a Windows crash dialog, in a Windows system dialog, etc.).

xmlcopyeditor.exe's action stops
Another thing… (i've grown to think that i'm an idiot and i should not try to do anything) i don't known what's happened exactly ( i might press a button) but i lost my < character and what i got is < in red. (i reinstalled again - both problem exists) i'm so sorry forbeing such a fool :(

xmlcopyeditor.exe's action stops
the program's correct running braeks because of some mistakes. Windows closes this program and it will let you know if it finds the solution.
