Sorry Tony, was on hols when your message arrived and didn't see it under lots of emails. 'Wait' is for synchronous processing (so xmlce waits for the child process to finish). This is necessary if you want to capture the output. The variables are there to let you reuse commands for multiple documents. The buttons act as placeholders.
