    Hi Gerald,

Whenever I select several lines of text, in most text editors, I hit <delete> if I want to delete the text. XML Copy Editor treats this key differently: it decreases the indentation level of the selected lines, making it seemingly a shortcut alias to <shift>+<tab>. This behavior gets me almost every time because it's so different from other editors. ;)

Is there a specific reason? Would you consider changing this so that <delete> removes the lines instead?

    Hi Rob

That's a good point. There is a workaround, but it's not brilliant: if you position the cursor at least one tab away from the baseline, Delete will work as expected. I wonder which editor I took this behaviour from. I do recall a setting 'Del unindents' somewhere and because I found it interesting I put it in…

I agree it isn't always the behaviour one wants/expects though.

Will you consider changing it or possibly adding an option in the preferences dialog? For me, it'd greatly enhance its usability. :)
Not to mention save all those lines of text in other editors if I were to get used to decreasing indentation using <delete> ;)
