It have been released an update with the patch for this bug, now booleans, number and strings are supported.

Hi Mike, thanks for reporting this issue. Apologies for the inconvenience, we'll working on fixing this, but for now you could try to add quotes to the number cells. The problem is that the program is trying to wrongly parse number cells as strings. Regards, Dario.

Hi, You product failed to convert an xls file to an xlsx file. It displays the error message, "Cannot get a STRING value from a NUMERIC cell." I tried go around the error message by format all columns to TEXT data type in my .xls file. And it displays with the same error messages in "Console" tab window. I downloaded XLStoXML2.0alpha then install Java virtual machine on Windows 10. Run XLStoXML.jar as this "java XLStoXML.jar" and it displays the following error message: Error: Could not find or load main class XLStoXML.jar

Thanks for sharing this issue, yes this is a issue with xlsx format, for now please use xls format until we resolve this issue. We will keep you updated in this thread, please use the attached file.

Hi per testing xls file is working fine but when trying to convert any xlsx file it doesn't work. Please see attached sample xlsx file with data mappping. And as per checking in the console tab the error shows below Failed to drop files Conversion fail! There is no need to define rules if you are fine with the default functionality. For the moment this feature isn't available, only one way conversion is possible: XLS to XML.

Hi i used 2.0 Beta 1 but when i try to convert file using xlsx file to xml it doesnt work. Do i need to add rules to be able to work? Please see attached image. Can any xlsx files convert to xml?
