#2 identd problems

ok. here's the deal. i have identd in my red hat 7.1
system. i have no clue how to configure it to run. ive
looked at the identd.conf file in my /etc directory,
and ive seen doccumentation on the web about adding
lines, but no ones identd file looks like mine. there
are no (auth) lines anywhere in it. i set up identd to
run in level 5 of the startup, so i know its running...
i just keep getting a ( NO IDENTD RESPONSE) what the
hell is the FU*$#$G problem
