I posted before about not being able to play video useing h.264/acv1
codec because xine could not find it. I downloaded, built and installed
xine-lib 1.1.0 as suggested, but it didn't work.
I went looking and I found what might have been a problem concerning
I found the old 1.1.0 in
Which is where Slackware put it.
I did a search for 1.1.0, and found it in /
So how do I get the present xine ui I am using to look in
I tried renaming /usr/lib/xine to a temp, and then linking
/usr/lib/xine --> /usr/local/lib/xine
but, then all hell broke loose, example

So now it is even worse. But, I notice, xine-ui is built with xine-lib
Ok, makes sense says I. So, I proceed to download xine-ui-0.99.4.tar.gz
and go through the usual
NOW when I start xine I get

A couple of windows flash on the screen for about half a second, not
long enough to see anything in them, and then I am back to prompt.
No xine, no error messages, nothing, nada.
So now I am friggin' worse off then I was before because it used to at
Now I cann't do friggin' ANYTHING!!!!!!!
