Sorry, I just read your later message. The instructions I gave (below) are for the xine-ui front end. If you're using gxine then you'll have to look in file-->preferences, then look at the "audio" tab. Then you can check the audio driver and set it as I described before. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [xine-user] Sound Problem Date: Fri, 31 Dec 2004 08:42:29 +0000 From: Richard Wild <ric...@nt...> To: Necati DEMiR <nd...@de...> CC: xin...@li... Click "apply" and then go to the "audio" tab. The second item should be the audio driver to use: this will tell you whether you are using arts or esd. If so, try "alsa" instead or, failing that, use "oss". Hi, > There is no change, > i tried all possbilites; oss, eds, arts, eds You have to restart xine for this setting to take effect. Is there no "alsa" option available? > and i have one more question: > how can i change A/V Sync setting in xine-ui. You adjust it with the 'n' and 'm' keys. > I found how to change A/V Sync setting in gxine, but i could not found > in xine-ui. The point is that you should not have to adjust the sync manually. If audio and video go out of sync for more than just one particular video (which might be a broken video), there is something very wrong with the audio driver setup.
