Unlike the others in that list, gtk_window_activate_key is *not* marked in the documentation (libgtk2.0-doc 2.4.13-1, Debian) as "since 2.4". Maybe it appeared later in the GTK+ 2.2 series? gtk_window_set_keep_above and gtk_window_set_default_icon are chrome. gtk_window_activate_key is used to allow the menu shortcuts in full-screen mode; as such, I don't really want to change that. gtk_window_set_accept_focus I may be able to replace by watching for the toolbar window gaining focus. -- | Darren Salt | nr. It is, for one reason: nobody said whether 0.4.0 would work with 2.2.x, so I decided that since I couldn't test it, I might as well just require something which I *can* use and test against. :-\ (I /could/ grab GTK+ 2.2.x from snapshot.debian.org, but there's the setting up of a chroot to do too. And it'd all be over dial-up, so I'd rather not...) -- | Darren Salt | d youmustbejoking, demon,co,uk | nr. Hi, > I have xine playing apple movie trailers OK with one exception > > How do I get xine to buffer more data so that it doesn't stop > while my painful adsl catches up Try increasing the config options engine.buffers.audio_num_buffers and engine.buffers.video_num_buffers. (These are the config names for 1-rc8, earlier versions had different names.) You need to restart xine for these settings to take full effect. Hi, I just installed xine-lib and xine-ui 0.99.3. The font size is really too small, it is difficult to read the menu options of xine. I went into the config file in .xine but I did not find any option to change. I don't want to switch to another frontend since I like xine-ui. Could this be fixed ? I just installed the gxine plugin for mozilla, and have been trying some quicktime sites. None of the links actually work. Xine pops up a window (outside of the browser), and for a very brief moment displays a file name. Then it stops. If I press the "play" button it does the same thing. If I download the video and invoke it with "gxine foo", it plays fine. Anyone know what the deal is? It seems like the plugin, perhaps, isn't handling the link correctly. b.c. |

I just tried out gxine for watching dvds. It does the dvd menus ok, but I can't find any of the standard dvd controls, such as a "root menu" button. Once playback has started there's no way to stop it except the "stop" button, which is equivalent to ejecting the disc. What's the deal? Where are all the controls you'd find on a dvd player remote? I also found that after hitting the fast-forward button I couldn't get it *out* of fast forward mode. Hitting the "play" button didn't switch it back to normal playback speed. This is with the ubuntu package 0.3.3-3. b.c. |

There is a minor problem with the tarball on the xine site. If you install Bluton in /usr/share/xine/skins so it's available system-wide, xine won't see it because the permissions on the main Bluton directory are wrong: gwiz# pwd /usr/share/xine/skins gwiz# ls -ld Bluton drwxr--r-- 3 nobody nobody 4096 Dec 20 12:27 Bluton/ This is easily fixed by: gwiz# chmod 755 Bluton gwiz# ls -ld Bluton drwxr-xr-x 3 nobody nobody 4096 Dec 20 12:27 Bluton/ Also, all the files are owned by nobody.nobody whereas for example all the default xinetic skin files are owned by root.root, but this shouldn't matter. And I don't know if it was really meant to include the doinst.sh, font_install.sh, and src/* files in the tarball. > > About size I little wonder becase I designed it > > for my monitor 1024x768. Hi I grapped the cvc version: libxine1-1_cvs-041214.src.rpm file from http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/xine/ I tried to compile it in my x86_64 machine using the command rpmbuild --rebuild --target x86_64 libxine1-1_cvs.-XX.src.rpm. The build stopped complaining about /usr/lib//libGL.so having the wrong format. SInce I do not like to look at spec files, I solved the problem by linking the /usr/lib/libGL.so -> /usr/lib64/usr/libGL.so.1 instead of /usr/lib/usr/libGL.so.1. The building process completed fine. Then I linked the libGL.so file to the right file back again. While I could solve this, I think it will be nice if the libxine src.rpm packages could link to the right libGL.so Mohamad |
