Hi, I'm rather new to xine. I love the osd and I would need to output the movie including the osd info to an mpeg1 or mpeg2 file instead of on screen. In mplayer this can be done by compiling mplayer without dvb-support. If you then use dvb-output it writes it to a fiele. Is this possible with xine, too? If it is I'm sure it has been covered a thousand times and I'm sorry for asking again but using search keys like 'xine output file' or something like it in google will just return a hell lot of junk and I could not find it in xines docu either. Thank you very much for your help! Regards! Oliver |

I have a DVD that, in Windows, wants to automatically install software. libdvdread doesn't like it. It says: *** libdvdread: CHECK_VALUE failed in ifo_read.c:1522 *** *** for info_length % sizeof(uint32_t) == 0 *** This is xine-lib-1 beta 12. Compiled from source OK. Red Hat 9. WinDVD 5 likes the disc. I know my hardware is not broken. Any fix for this? |

Is it that I am just unlucky with the coupld of DVDs I have rented here, that decss is not able to decrypt them, or could it be that there is something else going on. As a side note about this crypto scam. I am in Holland and the local video store is not allowed to rent "The Saragossa manuscripts" (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0059643). This is a beautiful Polish movie filmed in Spain in the 60ies, and restored with money from the lead singer of the Greatfull Dead. This European movie cannot be rented in Europe because the only version available is in DVD zone 1.
