Hello. I searched through the archives for info about possible jack support in xine, and the latest postings were from last year. What was said looked promising. I understood that a test plugin or two have already been written. But has the project advanced since then? Is there hope for having jack support in the near future? Also, if there's some alpha version of a jack plugin lying around somewhere, I'd be glad to download it and include it during compile - if someone tells me how to do it. :) My xine version is 1.1.2. Do the plugins happen to work in such way that the .so file can be dropped to /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.2/ and that's all to it? Background for the question is that I'm drooling for jack support in gxine, because that would allow me to leave jackd running forever, but Debian testing doesn't yet have package for jackified gxine, and I'd rather not get into compiling. -- Tanu |

I'm uploading there cvs snapshots of xine on a semi regular basis, and would welcome every report about these packages. -- Gruesse/greetings, Reinhard Tartler, KeyID 945348A4 |
