I am testing some configurations to improve xine performance, to avoid
The test that I am intend to do is to use ionice, nice, and chrt to give
high priority to xine and X.
#setting to X process high priorities
ionice -c2 -n1 `pidof X`
renice -10 `pidof X`
#setting to xine process high priorities
ionice -c1 -n7 `pidof xine`
renice -10 `pidof xine`
chrt -r -p 75 `pidof xine`
But doing just it, doesnot solve the problem, becouse xine has started
several threads and the ionice/renice/chrt are just set to the principal
process of xine.
How do I know which are the pids of the revelent threads that need to be
set by ionice/renice/chrt?
Thanks for any help.
