1) I want to implement random/shuffle support in dvdnav.
I don't have any DVDs which support random/shuffle support, so I was
hoping that some other users could help me out here. The options to
proceed are either someone sponsors me with a DVD which supports
random/shuffle modes or initally, I might be able to make some progress
with just a copy of the .IFO files from the DVD.
.IFO files are not encrypted, so a simple mount of the DVD and "cp
/dvd/video_ts/*.ifo /usr/tmp" will do.
Then a simple tar -zcvf dvdname.tar.gz /usr/tmp/*.ifo, and email the
resulting tar.gz file.
I have heard that one of the Star Wars DVDs support random/shuffle mode.
2) I want to build up a list of all the DVDs which do not work 100% in
I will need the following info about them: -
a) DVD Title
b) DVD Region.
c) Name, email and location of person with the DVD. (Full address is not
needed, just Town/Country will do fine. This is mainly so that if I fix
the problem, I can ask the person to retry it.)
d) Description of the problem, with details on how to reproduce the problem.
e) Output from the latest version of xine cvs while attempting to play
f) A copy of the .IFO files from the DVD.
If people have sent me this info in the past, and are still waiting for
a fix, please could they resend the info.
I will then proceed to fix the bugs.
