It seems that the signal to change tracks is often sent too late, and
despite the presence of gapless support, there is (on some discs) a
noticeable gap between CD Audio tracks. When the next track does start
to play, its beginning is cut off. Quite annoying.
A simple but effective workaround is to increase the number of frames
that Xine caches. I've attached the patch to this message. I've been
using the patch for some time now, and have had no problems.
Also, a CD playback patch I sent in almost 2 months ago still hasn't
been commented on or applied. It's been working fine for a long time
now, so if someone could just apply it along with my new patch, then at
least they'll get some broader testing before the next release. It can
