Bugs item #1227986, was opened at 2005-06-27 01:56 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1227986&group_id=9655 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: John Stamp (jstamp) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: mp3 embedded image makes noise on playback Initial Comment: When xine plays an mp3 file that has an image embedded in an APIC frame, playback will begin with some initial noise, like a "chirp" or a bit of static. The problem is that xine misreads the length of the APIC frame by a huge margin. In one file, for instance, it should report an APIC frame size of 124250, but it actually reports a size of 45786 and an additional bogus frame of size 217667568! I've included a quick patch that fixes the problem, but I don't know how this might affect other things. Any thoughts? Oh-- Currenntly using xine 1.0.1 on debian John Stamp ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1227986&group_id=9655 |
