This will break xine-check where *.so are present in -dev packages and will probably not be installed. Given the following: /usr/lib/libX11.so /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 /usr/lib/libX11.so.6.2.0 the current version outputs "/usr/lib/libX11.so.6" but the replacement outputs "/usr/lib/libX11.so".
