Category: win32 codecs Group: current cvs version Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Reinhard Tartler (siretart) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Fails to play wma9dmo audio files Initial Comment: Example file here: http://perso.manga4all.com/cerf_matrix.wmv. File identifies itself like this: Seems that stream 1 comes from film source: 1000.00 (1000/1) -> 25.00 (25/1) Input #0, asf, from 'cerf_matrix.wmv': Duration: 00:00:17.9, start: 3.000000, bitrate: 529 kb/s Stream #0.0: Audio: 0x0162, 44100 Hz, 5:1, 256 kb/s Stream #0.1: Video: wmv3, yuv420p, 320x240, 25.00 fps(r) when trying to play the file with xine-ui/gxine, I get 2 error messages: one that tells the audio device was busy (?? - because other files don't give me that error) and one that states the audio codec was unsupported and if I want to play the file anyway. See the output of xine --verbose=3 attached ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Reinhard Tartler (siretart) Date: 2007-01-28 21:22 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=673446 Originator: YES 22:04:14 < siretart> well, the error message is this: The audio device is unavailable. Please verify if another program already use it. 22:04:52 < siretart> which is highly confusing at best, since the audio device isn't used. other files work fine 22:05:57 <@Flameeyes> I don't get that error message 22:06:07 <@Flameeyes> it rather asks me if I want to continue playback because the codec is unsupported 22:06:32 < siretart> I get that one as well 22:07:08 < siretart> Flameeyes: http://paste.debian.net/20978 is the output of --verbose=3 22:08:14 <@Flameeyes> audio_alsa_out: broken configuration for this PCM: no configurations available: Invalid argument 22:08:34 <@Flameeyes> the problem is that w32codec is not checking validity of the loaded data 22:08:47 < siretart> how bad 22:09:32 < siretart> shall I file a bug in sf? 22:09:50 <@Flameeyes> likely, but I cannot test it anyway 22:11:28 < siretart> may I quote you in the bugreports? 22:11:57 <@Flameeyes> sure, wait that I tell you where the problem can be seen 22:12:15 <@Flameeyes> w32codec: decoder failed to start. Is '(null)' installed? -> states that the decoder name is also null 22:12:35 <@Flameeyes> this is thus around src/libw32dll/w32codec.c:803 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109655&aid=1646600&group_id=9655 |
