Category: video output problems Group: None Status: Pending Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Xine should respect max Xv size Initial Comment: This is actually 2 bugs: 1) Xine does not respect that the Xv extension knows a limit for the maximum image size. This can be queried using XvQueryEncodings(). 2) Xine (or its decoders, no idea) do terrible things if the to-be-displayed image is larger than the maximum image size. The 1000x5xx Matrix trailer, for example, exceeds the maximum on my SiS hardware (960x1080); the part between 960 and 1000 is pink, but the rest of the image is heavily distorted. Must be some miscalculation somewhere. I know you don't like to hear that: Mplayer displays the rest OK (although it disrespects the maximum image size just like Xine). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2006-09-02 00:28 Message: Logged In: NO The problem is still there (video_out_xv, CVS 2006-09-02) With large jpeg images it just segfaults after failed X request. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Diego Pettenò (dgp85) Date: 2006-09-01 19:24 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=60011 Please try the latest versions of xine-lib and xine-ui.
